The New Car

Today was the day that the Robinson family would get a new Toyota car the only people that have not seen the car yet was the 2 kids Chris, and Kate but they heard that it was cooler than the station wagon they got last year from Automotive where they sell many cars to heaps of customers that enter the place.

When they got the car they were so surprised and happy that they got a Toyota.When they went to places they were happy they got a new car then Chris told his friends at school and they looked at him weirdly they said where did you get it from then Chris said I don’t know but my dad bought it they said that it was AWESOME.

But then later that day on New Years Eve the car got impounded from the police for speeding on the highway, the whole family felt sad and so miserable that the whole family never got another car ever ever again.

On a Boat Trip

So this morning, on Saturday the son named Josh was probably the only person that would be the least happy going with his parents Nick, and Vicki on a boat cruise to a north Island called O.T.L that stands for ONLY THE LONELY because it was the Island that was in the middle of nowhere and all by itself on the sea.

Later on that morning they were all yelling at each other to get ready or they will end up missing the boat. So as quickly as a cheater the family packed all their clothes and toothbrush,and tooth pastes.

“Finally we arrived” Josh said in a voice of angriness and boredom from the 3 hour drive they did from driving up, down, and sideways.Once they gave their tickets in they were able to go on a big ship where they were allowed free food and go into the pool and spa and even the hydro-slides and the arcades they had on the boat.

But when he saw the music house he went inside and got a pair of free headphones and put in his favourite music and turned it up loud.When everyone left the area because of the lock down but Because of Josh’s music he was locked with no help for until he started to cry for help when he finally found out.

As he was crying and crying asking for his parents help he saw a security guards torch and yelled for him and opened the doors so straight away he ran to his mum and dad with a big hug then lived happily ever after.

Time At The Zoo

Early in the morning, there were 2x 9 yr old sisters named Sally and Kelly and together they were both looking forward towards the animals at the Zoo like the Tigers and Lions even the Monkeys that looked funny and weird looking than all the other animals in the cage like the orangutans and baboons.

So as they got ready for the best day that was about to happen to them they suddenly got hungry and went to Mcdonalds for Breakfast.They ordered the happy meal and was excited about the cool toy gun they got with their meal and a glow in the dark straw in the drinks they both got.

After they finished their big meal they all had the finally arrived with Mum and Dad with joy they were jumping up and down so much that they got told off from their parents.So when they got out of the car they had to hold hands and walk to the entrance with all the sandwiches they made for lunch at the Zoo.

As they were walking around searching for different kinds of species they came across, So when they saw the Zebra’s Eating That made them feel more hungry and starved for a few hours later.

On their way to the picnic benches they start to wander until they got away from each other and ended up getting lost in the Gorilla’s habitat where Kelly just noticed she was alone with no one to be watched by or to eat together.

When a few hours went past then Kelly was starting to hear voices That was getting louder and louder as she walked past the Lions kennel then suddenly around the corner out of the blues she saw them running to her as the parents and sister were looking for her and the all went on with their lives once again.

The Wolves and the Bear

Many years ago there lived a family of Wolves. The Alpha Wolf was called Homer, the Mother Wolf was Dora and the baby Wolf was named Fearless, they lived with their grandpa Jacky. One morning grandpa went looking for food to bring to the family. He got ready, packed his bag, got his knife and spear, then took of to the hunting area, “Bye grandpa” said Fearless.
“Bye” said grandpa Jacky. So he took off.

When he arrived at the hunting field, he saw a very nice looking sheep a few steps aways from him. “Mmm yummy” he said as he quickly grabbed his spear, he pulled his arm back with heaps of force then suddenly, “ROOAR”
Grandpa paused for a moment. “Who was that? Hello is anyone there? Show your self!” shouted Jacky.

Unexpectedly a huge polar bear leaped towards Jacky’s back. He jumped away and the bear fell beside him. Jacky faced the bear he didn't wanna run because of his reputation as a professional kung fu fighter. He karate chopped the bears left ear off, “ROAR” The bear got angry, and tried to punch Jacky but he dodged it. When Jacky was defending himself, he gave the bear a hard knee-kick to the chin, breaking his neck, the beard suddenly fell to the ground, grandpa had something different for dinner.

That evening Homer, Jacky’s son, came back from work very tired. As he slumped on the couch for a rest a loud knock at the door alerted them to a visitor, Dora opened the door then screamed at the sight of a polar bear standing in front of her, laughter began to be heard as she quietened down. So grandpa Jacky threw back the head on his shoulders, wearing the polar bear as a cloak. ”Don’t worry my little one, I have returned with dinner.”

Term 4 Presentation

Hi my name is Joseph Peini, and what we are learning to do this term is tell people about the story behind your toys. To be honest I don't like toys at all, but I am still looking forward to all the great stuff coming up.

The day at the Beach

As I woke up at 9 O'clock I was excited because we were allowed to go and spend the whole day at the beach with my family,but before that we had to do the chores like clean the house do the dishes and clean the rooms.

When we have all done our chores we got ready and went to the beach just in time to swim in the big tides with my cousins boogie board  and some bouncy balls with some frisbee to play with in the water.

Later on that day we all got hungry and had some sandwiches to go with our chicken ships with scrambled eggs,but when we got to eat them we liked them so much we kept eating them until they were all gone.

When the day was finally over we were very tired because we have been running around all  the time all day playing in the sand and with all the activities.

The Memorial Service

Man I am so pumped to go to my Aunt's place for the Memorial Service and see everybody, my Cousins and their  parents Including my Nana’s and papa’s.But before we got to go over and visit,we had no choice but to eat the mince stew in the pot for dinner.

A few hours later we were all ready to go and say our goodbye’s to my uncle who passed away from an heart attack,so when we got there the first thing I spotted was other people I must have known from since I was a little Baby.

After we saw my uncle we had something to eat and drink that was spreaded out on this big table full of huge plates stacked with food like Boil up cake and some lamingtons “YUM YUM!!”.

Today was the saddest day I have ever felt because when we all left to go home we were all crying.Everyone knew that no one could ever replace our uncle.

Father's Day

Yes! it was nearly time, time for father's day, when we all had to go and pick him up at the airport early in the morning around 3 or 4 O'clock. First we had to get him somthing we all knew what he wanted...     .... .... ....

When we left to get my dad a surprize we went to the warehouse and got him some sneakers, clothes, chocolates including his favourite deodorant Lynx, and Black loot and with heaps of love from his kids and family plus a letter from his sister from America.

“It’s time!”, my mum yelled happily as I said
“what for” then she replied  
“it’s time to go and pick up dad because he has already landed. Once There we were Excited and relieved that my dad was safe and sound.

On the next day after Fathers day we had to say goodbye and see you later to my dad,as he left to go to the airport so he can make it in time for his flight.

League Tournament

Today was the day,that we all got to go and play league at the dunkirk reserve for the tournament against four other schools.When we got there,the first thing we had to was to get changed and get ready for our first game.

As I was running late to our Rugby tournament I suddenly remembered that our first game was going to be against team 1 that were going to the school pt england too,but the dumb thing was that I had to wait for the next game with stan hope.

When we all left to go back to school I was relieved because my shoulders and legs were hurting from all the tackles and running all the time for three whole games plus when we had to go walking back to school.

Our Trip In 2011

During Tuesday we all woke up and got ready for the day. All of us had to go to my uncle's house where they will be having the meeting about the family holiday trip. We were going to visit my nana’s grave up north with all my other buried family.

But before we got there the first thing we did was stop at Mcdonalds in G.I for breakfast.We were all hungry because we had just  got our money on Christmas eve and were able to buy  food.

When we got up north the first thing we did was go and say hi to my nana’s side of the family.Then when that was over and done with we all went out and played a little bit of PS3 and played touch outside at the park with my cousin and uncle.

A week has past now so it was time to say our goodbye's and and time to go home so we can check on our house that was getting looked after,it was sad because we were all going to miss each other and hope that we could come back next time.

The Three Jamaicans In The 200m Race

“WOW,” there were some of the fastest runners in the countries I have ever seen in my life. With among the Olympic competitors in the 200m race, There was three Jamaica's, Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake and the third runner Warren Weir.

Warren Weir, was the third competitor from the Jamaican team that ran in the 200m race.He   won Bronze medal. He is a 22 year old man who would like to be just like Usain and Yohan because they are the fastest runners and he always dreams to be like them.

In the London Olympics, in the 200m race there was a 22 year old Jamaican who came second place who won the silver to try and be the best runner there ever was.I think all he wanted to do was to make his country proud and happy.

Man, Usain Bolt,sure is the fastest man that I have ever seen run in 2012 in the 200m race.In the Olympics,he also took first place out of all the Jamaicans in the whole world and even set the world record that is one of the best times there is for him and his fellow comrades.

When they were about to start the race,straight away I knew that the first place winner was going to be the greatest runner,Usain Bolt because of all the matches that he’s won over the past 4 years and on ever since he started the running event at the Olympics.

The Olympic Rings

The five basic colours blue, black, red, yellow, and green are boring just like the  five basic shapes that look just like circles, however the countries that these colours symbolize is a different story.Which are the Africa's, America's, Asia's, Australia, and last but not least the Europe.

"What is the reason for the rings interlocking. You say? well let me tell you about it."  When the rings are locked together it’s a sign that means that the countries join in one place and battle it all out in the Olympics in order to win the medals Gold, Silver, or Bronze for their country.

Why are the Olympic rings circles.? I always seem to ask myself that question, until now when I went and searched all over the net and found out that the reason why they are the shapes of circles is because five continents join their hands together and play against each other.

In 1914 Baron Pierre De Coubertin was the founder and designer of the rings that represent the Olympics today, he was also the one who discovered the countries that the rings symbolize in the Olympics and he did the same thing with the 20th anniversary.

I think the reason for the choosing of those colours was because in 1984 there was a guy called Robert Barney who discovered that in ancient times they used circles and the colours that we use now.

Weekends

"Cool” we all said once we heard that we were going to have a BBQ and a party to celebrate my uncles farewell because he was going to Australia to live, it was fun when we had all our family coming to my house with all of my cousins for the weekend until the day they left for Melbourne.

Later on that day we started to hear heaps of cars coming down the driveway and the roads. Our garage would fill up until some people had to drink outside of the place, while our uncles were preparing the food and the table.

“Oh that sucks" we said, because a few of my aunties and uncles had to go home and make sure that their baby was alright with their babysitters. But it was still fun when they came over and had the party with all of us.

As everyone went home I thought about the fun things we did together and hoped that we could do this again with all our family soon.

Archery

Archery is a skill of good eyesight, used for hunting and combat in modern times, however, its main use is to use it for worthiness.

The reason why I chose archery as the sport to write about was because I like the bows and how you can try to hit the target just like video games but in real life, it was very fun to do archery for the first time in my entire life at camp for the year sevens only.

The thing I really really love about that sport event in the olympics is that you are allowed to shoot them at different targets to win the tournament, and also because I like watching those super heroes on television like Hawk Eye, and Green Arrow.

The last time I did archery was the time at camp when rock up came to our school and told us all about these events just like we were at a Carnival, and at a theme park full of the students from our school and teachers who came to supervise us as our Captaine.

What I enjoy about archery is that we get to have fun and wild from everyone screaming and yelling from all those wonderful events.

I wish they will come again to the school this year.

On the holidays...

The last 2 weeks were the best days of my life,because we got a game called Rubik's race and a rugby ball. We were able to play these games before the BBQ we had on Sunday to celebrate my little cousins 6th Birthday.

When we played the Rubik’s race it would get more difficult until I lost the game against my family and visitors related to my nana and papa that played with us. Some of their children came over, so it was much better when we had a game of rugby outside.

Later that day it was time to have dinner,”Man that was nice” the best thing that went with the BBQ was the minace (looks like potatoe salad). That was one of the coolest homemade dinners I have ever had. We all enjoyed the last day we had together and spent the last moments with a game of touch in the back of my uncle’s house in the schoolyard.


This was a very enjoyable day with family and friends.

Term3 Week1

“Wow” I said to myself because of all the great things happening today. When we started our new term with a new topic called “go for gold”  then straight away I knew it would have something to do with the olympics.

Out of all the olympic sports in the world. My favourite ones would probably be Swimming and Javelin because I like sports that can cool me down and that is much more challenging.

The reason why I chose swimming and javelin as my top sports was that I’m a pretty good at throwing the spear the furthest and, always come in second place in swimming every time.

The goals I try to strive for is to come 1st in swimming and beat my own record in javelin, and to see if I can beat other swimming competitors fastest time in the whole school. So to fulfill my goal I must practice, practice, practice to make perfect and to achieve my goal.

Picasso

HI I am from Room 18, and I will be telling you all about one artist that stands out of all the rest from my point of view, first of all the  artists was the one that had a good art hand and good at doing different kinds of perspectives and ways of his own to paint others and objects that makes everything interesting, is Picasso.

The reason why I chose the artist Picasso was because of all the talents and hard effort that he puts into his artwork with all his kinds of imaginary pictures and how he likes to mix up stuff in the background and  when he draws people's faces then ending up mixing them up in all different styles, then turns into a weird looking paintings.

What I enjoyed about Picasso’s work is when he starts on his background and then turns it into broken glass, but the thing I liked the most is with his creative idea how he makes some changes and shapes to the people he draws.

Favourite place

I chose this spot that I took with Mr.Barks camera under the tree because this place was where my favourite place stood out from around the school. The only time when I would go and rest under the tree was on scorching hot days and peaceful times and when I feel like resting when I am tired or don't feel well.

On that week many of my classmates started to take heaps of pictures of more and more of their favourite places for our tasks.Some were cool and some were all right, but the place I chose was one of the places that I liked going too.

The reason why I liked going there was because,when I first started at this school in around 2008 or 2009 the place I first spotted was under the same tree that I took a picture off that was the only place I went to when It would be hot all the time.

What I liked about that tree is that it would be there making a shade for all the people who would be resting there or for people to play under all the time.

Reflective about my novel

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

Hi my name is Joseph and I am going to tell you all about the story called Percy Jackson and the lightning thief .what do you think about the book well let me tell you my side of the story first, from my perspective of the book  it would probably be one of my top stories I have read.When I first read the pages from Percy Jackson’s book the bit that I like about was the 1st chapter how he talks to us himself then takes us right to the warnings as we read along.As the story goes on, he tells us all about the half-blooded.

The reason why I liked reading the book was because it has a lot of action pieces with different kinds and myths including the son of  god called Poseidon. My favourite kind of books mostly have either titans or gods with rage and power and a little bit of good scenes also a best fighting skills and I even prefer monster trucks,cars,or motorbike books.

It is so cool that the characters on the book is Percy ,Zeus, Poseidon and a sagittarian called Mr.Brunner with his student that is half human and half goat including a titan called Kronos. when I heard about these greek gods in one of the books I thought “wow that sounds like a good book to read” my favourite god in the story was the powerful almighty Zeus because of his powers that is stronger than i’ve ever seen in a movie or in a book.

What I really liked about reading the book was mostly all about the different creatures that were in the story. But I am telling you it is a good book to read it's interesting,fun,and anciently cool.

“Hooray” I said to myself standing with my legs shivering because I couldn't wait for my Birthday to come because on that same day I was going to the movies to watch Avengers and have McDonald for dinner but the best time on Tuesday will be when I get my presents from my family.


During the movie we had pop corn and drinks with our ice cream along with some lollies it was cool but the funny thing about that day was when my mum slept through most of the movie and woke up when there was a a big clash then gave her a freight.


After the movie was over I felt like watching it all over again because the best scene was when Hulk fought along the Avengers side,so on our way home I told my grand parents all about how they were fighting and how they acted.

Day at my uncles place

During last weekend was the week that captivated me towards the whole weekend because the day on saturday was when I got to go and see my uncle while my Sister and my Cousins went to the pools which was very cool,as I was getting changed I was thinking about going over my uncles place to hangout because the only thing we do over at his residence we just play on his Xbox 360.

My favourite game we love to play with his neighbours is Halo reach and Devil may cry (1,2,3,and 4)but the best game we play 4 players was Halo,the funniest thing about that game is that we get to play each other in hand and hand combat with some weapons and try to eliminate someone until they respawn back to life.

Later on after that day we all started getting hungry so my uncle's partner Haley made us some burgers and bought some hot chips with fried rice it was nice after we finished until I heard my mum drive down the driveway to come and pick me up for her friends 29th birthday at 6:00 clock but before that we said our goodbye's and off we went.

Art Rotations

Last week was the most exciting day of the term because our topic we will be learning for the rest of the week will be about “Art alive” when Mr Burt Mentioned those words I was excited because following up on the same day was art rotations just the yr 7 and 8 students that will taking different classes, we had for this was Mr.Slade,Mrs.Squires,Mrs.Lagitupu,and Mrs.Nua,out of all the four classes we were given I thought that Mrs.Squires and Mrs Lagitupu was one of the best painting techniques I had so far.

After We did art with Mr.Slade we went to Mrs.Squires and learnt about the techniques of Daniella Hulm When I saw her Artistic paintings the first thing that was on my mind was that she likes to do heaps and heaps of Samoan patterns and lots of Samoan ladies the painting that she created is what inspired me to be a great painter like some other artists.

As we were walking to our next activity I was wondering what class i'm going to next and when I heard we were going to Mrs.Lagitupu to learn about Henri Matisse I was excited because he had his own Hall of fame full with all his created paintings, when many people saw his designs they thought it was a real work of art and a good art to have for themselves.

The day at the pools...

Cannon ball!! I shouted as I splashed into the water with a great big wave that was leading the way in front of me by the time I hopped out out of the pool and waited in line for the opportunity to go on the hydro slide,it was so much that my cousins and I kept going on it over and over al the time.

"Lunch time" my mum shouted!! at us from the benches, of we went running to the table to get their lunch first because I was slow I hardly had any lunch for my self at the end of the day when I saw these cool pair of glasses we kept them because someone left them in my bags with my togs.

when the time came to a end we were all sad because we had to go home and get ready to go over to my aunties house for a BBQ.

Last Week

Whippppy!!! I shouted as I was getting ready for the kids festival around the G.I center,my Sister and I were so excited we kept telling our mum to hurry up to take us now but then she told us to “wait we will go later on”, when I was waiting I stopped and started thinking that I’m going to go to the beach because it started to get boring after a while.

There I went down to the beach holding my togs, and towel walking with my Cousin until we stumbled upon sand leading to the beach so the first thing we did when we got there we got changed and went into the crazy cold sea water,but in the water when we saw this big rock we kept jumping off until I thought it would be fun if we keep pushing each-other off It.

After all that fun we started to get bored so we got changed and I texted my Mum to come and get us at the beach,after we got changed we saw her zooming down on the car to pick us up,I told her to take my Cousin and me to the G.I center for the kids festival,as we got dropped off we saw my Auntie waiting for us at the swings with my Cousins little brother Cassius.

When It started to get late I heard music coming from the stage nearby so I was listening then I heard a cool song come from the stage when until I saw this lady dancing to It when it was later on we were all tired so I asked my Auntie if we can go home,as soon as we got home we all went to bed to get some rest,I thought on that day I was thinking that it was the best day I ever had so far and I hope they will have it again but better than the last one.

Hi my name is Joseph Peini and I am twelve years old and I am a year eight student working with some year seven students my favourite games I like playing with my friends at are Bull rush, manhunt and rugby my favourite things I like to do at home is to play games or go on my Mums computer but when my cousins come over we go to the pools at Waiwera nearly all the times.

I was born in the Auckland Hospital on may the 22nd my mums name is Kim and my dads name is Sifa and my sisters name is Senolita, the subjects at school I like to do are writing and reading, the sports I like playing is Softball, rugby and league my favourite league teams are Broncos, west tigers and the Warriors but I think the biggest league fans in my family would be my uncles and my aunties.


My sister and I Ethnic groups are part Maori and part Tongan my grandparents were born on farms my Nana had four kids the oldest kids out of them would be my uncle Henare and my auntie Marcel my Mum and my uncle Hemi are the youngest ones in our family my Papas name is James Hooper and my Nana's name is Corina Roberts.

Christmas holiday up North...

This year I went to my Aunties house up North, while up there we had a Christmas party the thing we bought for the party were meat, sausages, and patties to put on the BBQ and we bought some soda’s and some chips and dips plus we played games on my Cousins PS3,the thing I liked there were the food, then the next day we all went for a swim at the pools.

At the pools me my Cousin went jumping of the diving pool it was a lot of fun but then it started to get boring!!, for some reason my Auntie went some where and we didn’t know were she went but when she came in we saw her with some Hot chips with fish and hot-dog after that we went back in after 10 minutes.

After that we went home and got into bed because it started to get darker then the next day we had to say good by until something was wrong with our van then she said we can stay one more day until we get a new battery so from the day on we just played Games all day then then it was time to go now so we said by then we went home.
