Favourite place

I chose this spot that I took with Mr.Barks camera under the tree because this place was where my favourite place stood out from around the school. The only time when I would go and rest under the tree was on scorching hot days and peaceful times and when I feel like resting when I am tired or don't feel well.

On that week many of my classmates started to take heaps of pictures of more and more of their favourite places for our tasks.Some were cool and some were all right, but the place I chose was one of the places that I liked going too.

The reason why I liked going there was because,when I first started at this school in around 2008 or 2009 the place I first spotted was under the same tree that I took a picture off that was the only place I went to when It would be hot all the time.

What I liked about that tree is that it would be there making a shade for all the people who would be resting there or for people to play under all the time.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

Hi my name is Joseph and I am going to tell you all about the story called Percy Jackson and the lightning thief .what do you think about the book well let me tell you my side of the story first, from my perspective of the book  it would probably be one of my top stories I have read.When I first read the pages from Percy Jackson’s book the bit that I like about was the 1st chapter how he talks to us himself then takes us right to the warnings as we read along.As the story goes on, he tells us all about the half-blooded.

The reason why I liked reading the book was because it has a lot of action pieces with different kinds and myths including the son of  god called Poseidon. My favourite kind of books mostly have either titans or gods with rage and power and a little bit of good scenes also a best fighting skills and I even prefer monster trucks,cars,or motorbike books.

It is so cool that the characters on the book is Percy ,Zeus, Poseidon and a sagittarian called Mr.Brunner with his student that is half human and half goat including a titan called Kronos. when I heard about these greek gods in one of the books I thought “wow that sounds like a good book to read” my favourite god in the story was the powerful almighty Zeus because of his powers that is stronger than i’ve ever seen in a movie or in a book.

What I really liked about reading the book was mostly all about the different creatures that were in the story. But I am telling you it is a good book to read it's interesting,fun,and anciently cool.

“Hooray” I said to myself standing with my legs shivering because I couldn't wait for my Birthday to come because on that same day I was going to the movies to watch Avengers and have McDonald for dinner but the best time on Tuesday will be when I get my presents from my family.


During the movie we had pop corn and drinks with our ice cream along with some lollies it was cool but the funny thing about that day was when my mum slept through most of the movie and woke up when there was a a big clash then gave her a freight.


After the movie was over I felt like watching it all over again because the best scene was when Hulk fought along the Avengers side,so on our way home I told my grand parents all about how they were fighting and how they acted.

Day at my uncles place

During last weekend was the week that captivated me towards the whole weekend because the day on saturday was when I got to go and see my uncle while my Sister and my Cousins went to the pools which was very cool,as I was getting changed I was thinking about going over my uncles place to hangout because the only thing we do over at his residence we just play on his Xbox 360.

My favourite game we love to play with his neighbours is Halo reach and Devil may cry (1,2,3,and 4)but the best game we play 4 players was Halo,the funniest thing about that game is that we get to play each other in hand and hand combat with some weapons and try to eliminate someone until they respawn back to life.

Later on after that day we all started getting hungry so my uncle's partner Haley made us some burgers and bought some hot chips with fried rice it was nice after we finished until I heard my mum drive down the driveway to come and pick me up for her friends 29th birthday at 6:00 clock but before that we said our goodbye's and off we went.

Art Rotations

Last week was the most exciting day of the term because our topic we will be learning for the rest of the week will be about “Art alive” when Mr Burt Mentioned those words I was excited because following up on the same day was art rotations just the yr 7 and 8 students that will taking different classes, we had for this was Mr.Slade,Mrs.Squires,Mrs.Lagitupu,and Mrs.Nua,out of all the four classes we were given I thought that Mrs.Squires and Mrs Lagitupu was one of the best painting techniques I had so far.

After We did art with Mr.Slade we went to Mrs.Squires and learnt about the techniques of Daniella Hulm When I saw her Artistic paintings the first thing that was on my mind was that she likes to do heaps and heaps of Samoan patterns and lots of Samoan ladies the painting that she created is what inspired me to be a great painter like some other artists.

As we were walking to our next activity I was wondering what class i'm going to next and when I heard we were going to Mrs.Lagitupu to learn about Henri Matisse I was excited because he had his own Hall of fame full with all his created paintings, when many people saw his designs they thought it was a real work of art and a good art to have for themselves.

The day at the pools...

Cannon ball!! I shouted as I splashed into the water with a great big wave that was leading the way in front of me by the time I hopped out out of the pool and waited in line for the opportunity to go on the hydro slide,it was so much that my cousins and I kept going on it over and over al the time.

"Lunch time" my mum shouted!! at us from the benches, of we went running to the table to get their lunch first because I was slow I hardly had any lunch for my self at the end of the day when I saw these cool pair of glasses we kept them because someone left them in my bags with my togs.

when the time came to a end we were all sad because we had to go home and get ready to go over to my aunties house for a BBQ.

Last Week

Whippppy!!! I shouted as I was getting ready for the kids festival around the G.I center,my Sister and I were so excited we kept telling our mum to hurry up to take us now but then she told us to “wait we will go later on”, when I was waiting I stopped and started thinking that I’m going to go to the beach because it started to get boring after a while.

There I went down to the beach holding my togs, and towel walking with my Cousin until we stumbled upon sand leading to the beach so the first thing we did when we got there we got changed and went into the crazy cold sea water,but in the water when we saw this big rock we kept jumping off until I thought it would be fun if we keep pushing each-other off It.

After all that fun we started to get bored so we got changed and I texted my Mum to come and get us at the beach,after we got changed we saw her zooming down on the car to pick us up,I told her to take my Cousin and me to the G.I center for the kids festival,as we got dropped off we saw my Auntie waiting for us at the swings with my Cousins little brother Cassius.

When It started to get late I heard music coming from the stage nearby so I was listening then I heard a cool song come from the stage when until I saw this lady dancing to It when it was later on we were all tired so I asked my Auntie if we can go home,as soon as we got home we all went to bed to get some rest,I thought on that day I was thinking that it was the best day I ever had so far and I hope they will have it again but better than the last one.
